Councillors voted this week to take part in every future Baby Loss Awareness Week by lighting up a number of buildings in the borough.
A motion was put forward by Cllr Elizabeth Haynes, St Dials Ward, on behalf of a resident. The council has supported the annual event for the last two years.
Councillors agreed to use pink and blue lights to light up the boat house at the Boating Lake, the Civic Centre in Pontypool and a building (not confirmed yet) in north Torfaen.
The 2022 week takes place from 9-15 October.
Cllr Haynes was unable to attend the meeting and the motion was presented on her behalf by Cllr Anthony Hunt, Panteg Ward and Torfaen Council Leader. He suggested the council should support the week every year and the motion was amended before the unanimous vote in favour.
