The council has applied for planning permission to cut a branch from a tree in Ponthir that is ‘rubbing’ on the roof of a block of flats.
The tree on the Longbridge Estate in Ponthir is subject to a ‘tree preservation order’ so the council’s team need permission before they can carry out the work.
In the application, it says the work is needed to ‘remove one branch rubbing on roof of flats to give 2m clearance.’
