You can now recycle old batteries in your black box every week in Torfaen.

Just pop them in a small clear bag to keep them together and stop them from falling out.

What batteries can be recycled at the kerbside in Torfaen?

• AAA, AA, B, C, D, DD and 9V batteries

What batteries can’t be recycled?

These batteries can’t go in your black box but can be recycled at the Household Waste Recycling Centre in New Inn.

• Lithium-ion ‘button’ batteries such as those in calculators, hearing aids and watches
• E-cigarette and vape pen batteries
• Chargeable batteries from laptops, mobile phones, power tools and vacuum cleaners
• Car batteries
• Battery chargers
