To celebrate Adult Learners Week 2023, Torfaen Adult Community Learning has announced a variety free taster sessions at all their centres.

Starting on Monday, residents can try their hand at nail art, yoga and IT, or sign up to a free Restart a Heart lifesaving course. Adult Learners Week aims to inspire adults to embrace the opportunity to expand their knowledge, develop new skills, and engage with their communities. All taster sessions are free of charge but people are advised to book because spaces will be limited.

Torfaen Council’s executive member for economy, skills and regeneration, Councillor Joanne Gauden, said: “Join us to explore a range of topics and develop new skills, and discover the enjoyment of learning whilst meeting like-minded people. Whether you’re seeking personal development, professional growth, or simply a fun and enriching experience, our community learning taster sessions have something for everyone.”

Free Essential Skills courses can be taken throughout the academic year with Torfaen Adult Community Learning, covering Digital, English, Maths and ESOL courses.
