a house covered in 1000s of LED lights
His house in Pontrhydyrun is covered in around 30,000 LED lights

A house in Cwmbran has been transformed into a Christmas wonderland, complete with thousands of lights and decorations, to raise money for Tŷ Hafan, the children’s charity.

Noel England starts getting his house ready in late August, and it’s easy to see why.

Around 30,000 LED lights, 2,100 cable ties, 3,000 staples, 400 clips, and dozens of handmade decorations cover the house in St Andrew’s Close, Pontrhydyrun.

He told Cwmbran Life: “All in all, it’s come out really well and I just hope people like it.

“That’s what I do it for, the children and everyone that comes to see it.”

Visitors are asked to use the QR code on the fence or donation box to support Tŷ Hafan.

Last year, visitors donated £613 to the children’s charity.
