The headteacher of Woodlands Community Primary said the ‘pupils were the star of the show’ as their Estyn report marked them as ‘excellent’ in all five areas.
Estyn told Jaci Bates that only 6% of schools have received ‘excellent’ in all five areas since 2017. All 342 pupils took home a letter today to share the news with their parents and carers.

Staff and governors gathered at the school to celebrate the report.

The report contained one recommendation: “
“Refine pupils’ skills in spelling and grammar, to secure greater accuracy when writing. In particular, for pupils who are more able.”
