An independent food business has opened in a converted 20-foot shipping container in Cwmbran.

Tin Can Kitchen first started trading in Rogerstone in March 2020. They are based in the car park inbetween the What! shop and ETB garage on Llantarnam Road.

The menu includes Cajun-style burgers, burritos, footlong hot dogs and dirty fries. Customers can order online and collect or choose home delivery.

Cwmbran Life chatted to Jordan Phillips, co-owner, in this Facebook Live.

Opening hours of Tin Can Kitchen

They plan to open seven days a week but their current opening hours while they get up and running are:

  • Wednesday to Thursday- 5pm to 10pm
  • Friday to Sunday- 5pm to 10.30pm

A taster

Thanks to Jordan for offering us a ‘Goliath’ burger, chicken burger, dirty fries and coleslaw to take home. The meal was well-wrapped to keep fresh for our drive home. Cracking meal. Cheers.
