Wales’ oldest man, Cwmbran’s Owen Filer, has the honour of switching on the town centre’s Christmas lights this weekend.
M Cwmbran, the town’s owners, have organised an afternoon of fun and entertainment from 12pm on Saturday 22 November.
Entertainment includes local choirs singing festive favourites, dance schools showcasing their talent, and musicians and singers.
Mr Filer, who turned 106 on 19 October 2025, and Santa will be on stage at 5pm for the countdown to the switch-on.
M Cwmbran say the event will finish by 5.30pm and advises people to wrap up warm.
