Meryl said: “I’m usually working from home, making professional pantomime costumes for my clients, but since the entertainment industry is ‘dark’, I felt I needed to do something for the cause and turned my hand to making scrubs. Initially, this was for friends who work for the ocal NHS, but, my surgery- Oak Street Surgery in Old Cwmbran – were interested. As a result, I made sets of scrubs for the staff who work there and have now made some sets for staff all over the country.

“There really isn’t a difference between costumes and scrubs, because NHS staff wear costumes every day to protect themselves and their patients. It’s just a different type of costume and worn in a different type of theatre.”
