An evening of events to celebrate International Bat Night is taking place in Cwmbran.

It’s taking place in Henllys Nature Reserve on Monday 28 August. The event has been organised to be part of International Bat Night which is on 26/ 27 August.

In Our Nature, the organisers, said:  “We’re hosting an evening at Henllys Local Nature Reserve where we’ll be running a series of activities from Bat Themed Craft sessions, Noticing Nature Walks and exploring the variety of Bats found around the reserve on a guided Bat Walk.

“Contact with nature has been proven to be beneficial both physically and psychologically for a wide range of people, particularly for those experiencing chronic mental health issues, such as anxiety and depression.”
