Cyclists raising money for St David’s Hospice Care set off from Tiny Rebel Brewing in Rogerstone on Sunday for the charity’s Tour de Gwent.

Fundraisers could choose from four routes- 102 miles, 81 miles, 59 miles and 32 miles, The group doing the longest loop left at around 7.30am with the other groups leaving in time slots up to 10am.

Members of the Cwmbran Veterans Cycling Club (main photo) took part in the 59-mile route.

A social media post from the charity said: “What began as a great day Sunday turned into a challenging event for all given the weather – but what a day it was!

“A huge thank you to everyone who took part in the 10th year celebration rides.

“To the riders who braved the wet and cold weather – we salute your determination and spirit 🙌

“To the volunteers who return year after year – your dedication is the backbone of this event. You were outstanding once again 👍
