Myles Taylor, 13, won the Youth C title (12/13-year-olds) for under 40kg in the MMA Cymru Welsh Youth Championships 2026 held last Sunday in Port Talbot.
His win has seen the West Mon School pupil qualify for the International Mixed Martial Arts Federation (IMAAF) World Championships being held in Dubai later this year.
His school’s PE team shared a social media post saying “massive congratulations” and “such a tremendous amount of work goes on behind the scenes for Myles to constantly achieve such success. Amazing effort.”
Myles is competing in a different-shaped ring this weekend. On Saturday, the Pontypool ABC fighter heads to Cardiff for the Welsh Amateur Boxing Association’s junior finals, hoping to win a second Welsh title in one week.
