Young people in Cwmbran are being invited to take part in a series of free music and radio broadcasting workshops to build confidence, creativity and new skills during the summer holidays.
The sessions, aimed at 12 to 16-year-olds, will give participants the chance to create and perform their own raps, practise interview techniques, go live on the radio with support from experienced tutors, and even learn the ukulele. The workshops, organised by Singergise Radio and supported by Cwmbran Community Council, also offer a relaxed space to meet new friends and try something different.
Two sets of dates are available:
- Thursdays 6 August, 13 August and 20 August, 10am-12.30pm at Cwmbran Community Council in Old Cwmbran.
- Wednesday 26 August and Thursday 27 August, 12.30pm-3pm at Cwmbran Centre for Young People in the town centre.
Places are limited. Organisers are asking parents and carers to register their children as soon as possible. Email [email protected] or call 01633 849070 to get a booking form and find out more.
