Teenagers aged 16-18 in Cwmbran can get up to £50 a week and help going on to college or a job from a local charity. Rathbone gives support through training in the workplace to youngsters who are disadvantaged or face difficulties.
Emma Clark, from Rathbone, said: “We offer qualifications and progression onto NVQ’s and apprenticeships for our young people. We deal with learners from a variety of backgrounds.
“They are paid up to £50 a week in allowances with and we are able to offer money management within our programme too.
“We think this is a fantastic opportunity for our young people in Cwmbran to to have support to make positive improvements in their lives whether that’s through learning or in work.”
