Cwmbran’s Gav Felvus who leads top tribute act Guns 2 Roses is bringing the band back to Cwmbran in the middle of their European tour of Italy to raise money for the funeral and family of a popular biker.
Phill Adams, known as Side Car Bob, was a member of local motorcycle club the Celtic Wolves and passed away of lung cancer on 25 March.
Gav said: “We have been friends with the Celtic Wolves MC of Cwmbran for many years and share a mutual respect for one another. When we heard of the passing of Phill Adams we decided to come back and perform this fundraising show. Our tour started in London last month with Guns N’ Roses guitarist Ron “Bumblefoot” Thal and Aurora Dawn of Alabama 3 as special guests. After playing in England we went to Holland and Italy where we were told the sad news about Phill.
“We are playing at the Waterloo Pub in Two Locks on Friday 10 April and this would have been Phil’s 50th birthday. Entry is just £3 which is a fraction of the price of our Cardiff show’s that are around £10 to £15. All the money will go to Phill’s family and we are expecting a great crowd to turn out and remember him.
“We are also bringing with us renowned Italian guitar player Mirko Fadda who will also perform some of his own material prior to Guns 2 Roses coming on.”
It is due to start at 7.30pm.
