Armed police attended a robbery in Henllys yesterday afternoon.
Two unknown men on a black motorbike or moped, are believed to have threatened a teenage boy before stealing his electric bike.
It took place on Dorallt Close at around 4.30pm on Monday 30 December. The teenage boy was not injured and no contact was made.
Officers attended, including specialist firearms officers as a precaution, and carried out an extensive search of the area.
The two suspects, who were dressed in black and wearing balaclavas, took the bike and rode towards Incline Lane, near to the Dorallt and Cwrt Henllys pubs.
A CCTV clip circulating on social media shows two men travelling past the Dorallt and into the lane. The teenage boy then cycles past seconds later.
The bike that was stolen is described as a black Levo Alloy G3 electric bike with orange handles, orange pedals and orange Fox mudguards.
Chief Inspector Stevie Warden said: “We are appealing for the public’s help and would like to hear from anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area of Dorallt Close between 4.25pm and 4.35pm on Monday 30 December to get in touch.”
