Torfaen Council has confirmed that no one was injured after a bin lorry ended up on a Cwmbran roundabout.

The vehicle was spotted on the roundabout where Henllys Way meets Ty Gwyn Road in Fairwater at around 2pm last Friday afternoon. A spokesperson for Torfaen Council said: “I’ve been informed that we are carrying out an internal investigation into the matter to establish the events that led up to the incident. We can confirm that no members of staff or the public were injured during the incident.”

Police officers used cones and their vehicle to alert drivers to the obstruction.
