An eight-year-old Cwmbran boy is holding a tabletop sale tomorrow and all the money he makes will be used to buy items to help people who are homeless.

Ben Hall is setting up outside CoStar in Fairwater Shops from 10am to 12pm on Saturday 7 December so please pop along and show your support.

The Greenmeadow Primary school pupil spoke to his mum Becky a month ago about wanting to do something to help people at Christmas. They chatted and Becky spoke to Sam at CoStar and she said she would help.

The community charity has been collecting donations for Ben to sell, and he has also got a load of his toys and other items to add to the table. His range is a mix of new items and plenty of things that would make great Christmas gifts.

Becky told Cwmbran Life: “I think the reason this has come about for him is we see so many more homeless people in Cwmbran now and when we go to other places. The rise in homelessness is now very visual and I’m proud that he’s not just noticed it but is asking questions and thinking what can be done to help.”

The money raised will purchase items like blankets and socks and be given to local people in need.
