A Cwmbran busker is looking for local stallholders to get involved in a music festival in Caerleon. Dani Wells can often be seen in the town centre playing her guitar.
She helps organise the Newport High School Old Boys music festival. Plans have started for the 2014 event that she wants to be bigger and better.
She said: “I'm regularly busking in Cwmbran and have made connections with a few stallholders in the town, but haven't got any of their numbers and I was looking to book them for a festival in Caerleon. We have just pulled off a very successful second year and we want to make next year even bigger. So we are looking for the following stalls or tents to be added next year:
Bouncy castle
Candyfloss/donut stall
Magician
Ice cone stall
Clowns
Ball pit
Bucking bronco
“We had 700 through the gate and want to triple that for next year so have started to organise it now. I would like to speak to any local people who do this kind of entertainment.
“It is a charity event for the rugby club to help raise money for the revamp of the club house and for the children's teams rugby tours. Any stall can charge whatever they want but we will be expecting a small percentage of the total income of the stall for rent of space.”
