A Cwmbran couple celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary today by taking part in Cwmbran Parkrun.
June and Eric Brann, both 79, have taken part in the weekly 5km fun run around 500 times between them.
June started running at the age of 72 and has completed Parkrun almost 200 times. Eric has taken part over 300 times. Before this morning’s event one of the volunteers announced to the 160 participants that Mr and Mrs Brann had just past their diamond anniversary.
The runners clapped the couple before the race started at 9am from outside the Olive Tree in Croesyceiliog.
They enjoyed a visit to Tortworth Court in the Cotswolds on 28 March, the day they got married.
Cwmbran Life spoke to the couple after they both crossed the finish line.
