She’s on the podium again! Lily Grace Walding, a pupil at Croesyceiliog School, competed in a figure skating competition in Holland over the weekend.
She entered the Basic Novice Solo Ice Dance category in the WKC Unicorn Dance Trophy 2025 and was up against skaters from France, Denmark, USA, Poland and Great Britain.
At the end of the first day on Saturday she was in eighth position following her Tango Fiesta and Rhythm Blues. But a strong performance in the Free Dance yesterday saw her rise up the table.

She said: “This morning she totally smashed it and skated her tights off ! I was watching the live scores from bed this morning as she’s gone with her grandad to this competition.”
Last month Lily took part in her first overseas competition. She travelled to Poland to take part in the Edge Cup and came third.
