Two emus have been hatched at Henllys Church in Wales School in Cwmbran.

The reception class were learning about dinosaurs and had a toy dinosaur egg. Headteacher Mark Durbin spoke to a friend who keeps emus and picked up two large emu eggs to link to that lesson and bring nature into the classroom.

The school has also hatched chickens and pheasants. The emus will soon head to a new home on a farm in Mamhilad.

Watch this two minute clip of Mr Durbin talking about the project.
