Owain Wyn Evans’ 24-hour drumathon for Children in Need inspired pupils at a Cwmbran school. The BBC weatherman raised £3m for the charity.
Today (Fri 19 November 21) the outdoor play area at Nant Celyn Primary School was the noisiest place in the town as pupils drummed and banged their way through the day. Year groups did 15-minute shifts from 9.30am to 3.30pm making as much noise as they could. Jonathan Bussy, headteacher, told Cwmbran Life he was planning to drum his way through this afternoon’s school assembly.
Check out Cwmbran Life’s Facebook page next week for an update on how much the school raised.
