Sir Gareth Edwards collects the cheque for his charity

Sir Gareth Edwards was in Cwmbran earlier this week.

The former Wales, Barbarian and British Lion rugby legend was invited to Crane ChemPharma and Energy, on Grange Road, to collect a cheque for his charity- the Sir Gareth Edwards Cancer Charity.

The Crane Fund for Widows and Children donated $6,000. The cheque was in dollars as it’s an American-owned company.

Alicia Newman, from the business, said: “It is always a pleasure to show our thanks to amazing charities that go above and beyond to support those within our local communities.”
