Tiger’s latest shop in Wales opens tomorrow (Wed 8 Oct) in Cwmbran Shopping. The Danish variety store has found a new home in the corner of Gwent Square.
An open evening was held tonight so Cwmbran Life popped along to have a nose and meet the team. The bright store is packed with an amazing selection of goods from the fun to the practical to the essential.
“All things you didn’t know you needed, but just have to have!”
An online review said that “80 per cent of its products sell for £5 or less”. A look across the shelves confirmed this and I struggled to spot many items above this price.
Debbie Gliniany, the store manager, stopped for a chat showed off some of the items on the shelves.
Kate Methuen-Ley and Helen Corsi
Kate Methuen-Ley and Helen Corsi are the two entrepreneurs who are leading the chain’s expansion in Wales and the West. The pair opened the first Tiger shop in Wales in Cardiff earlier this year.
The Cwmbran shop brings 12 new jobs to the town but in an added bonus for the area Kate and Helen are locating their head office for the region in the office space above the new shop.
The Mayor of Torfaen is officially opening the shop on Saturday but it will be open to customers from mid-morning on Wednesday 8 October 2014.
