The mum of a teenage girl who was assaulted yesterday morning (Friday 3 March 2017) in Coed Eva has appealed for witnesses.
Gwent Police said: “At about 0830 hrs on Friday 3/3/17 a female was assaulted having just entered a lane at the side of Henllys Way, Cwmbran. The lane runs between Ty-Canol Row and The Neerings, Cwmbran.
“We’d like to speak to a man in connection with this. He is described as being in his early 20s, clean shaven with short dark hair that is described as worn in a quiff.
“He is around 5 foot 6 inches tall, slim build, wearing black clothing and carrying a black umbrella, he has a local accent. Following the assault he walked off in the direction of Tolpath, Coed Eva, Cwmbran.
“The teenager is safe but is understandably shaken by this incident. Officers are on patrol in the area, offering a reassuring visible presence.”
