This year, the service also catered for multiple school Christmas parties and arranged a festive feast for Armed Forces veterans in Cwmbran.
Tracy James, Torfaen Catering Service Senior Operations Manager, said. “I would like to thank our dedicated school catering teams and all the amazing school staff who support the pupils during lunchtimes throughout the year, some of which have dedicated 20,30 or more years to school meals.
“Once again, everyone has stepped up to arrange the festive lunches and bring Christmas cheer to all our pupils, some of which may otherwise go without. We wish you all a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year”.
Councillor Richard Clark, Executive Member for Children, Families and Education, also praised the team’s efforts. “I would like to thank our award-winning catering service for their fantastic work in our schools this month – and all year round.”
