As soon as Jerry Adams spotted a giant plastic dinosaur on eBay he knew he had to buy to help create a sensory garden for his three autistic grandchildren.

The 58-year-old paid £1,600 for the former attraction from Dan-yr-Ogof caves. Every penny will be given to JDRF, a charity that helps people with type one diabetes. He has now set up a JustGiving page to raise even more money for the charity. Click here to donate.
