The Mic Morris 10km road race and 2km family run in Torfaen raise money to support up-and-coming young sportspeople in the area.
This year’s event took place on Sunday 14 July and saw 835 runners cross the finish line in Pontypool Park after leaving Blaenavon at 10am. Families and children took part in the 2km route around Pontypool Park.
Ben Jeffries, from Torfaen Council, is the event’s race director. He spoke to Cwmbran Life at the event’s finish line and explained how entry fees help young sportspeople in the county train and compete at the top level.
