A Cwmbran Life story about a Torfaen woman with cancer ticking off “Watch Wrexham AFC play” from her bucket list led to a lovely gesture from fans of the North Wales team.
Sarah Myers, from Trevethin, shared her story earlier this month about having synovial sarcoma cancer.

She headed to the Racecourse with husband Ady for the Dragons’ league cup match against Hull on Tuesday 12 August – a thrilling game that saw Wrexham score twice in extra time and go on to win on penalties.
Her story was read by a couple of fans who were touched by her story. They got in touch with Ady on Facebook and offered them a free pair of tickets to Wrexham’s next game against Sheffield Wednesday.
Sarah sent me some pics from the Hull game and a message on WhatsApp that said they [the couple with the tickets] “read the Cwmbran Life [story] you done and loved it.”
Fingers crossed that Wrexham win again for Sarah and Ady. And a huge thank you to the couple for being so kind and giving them free tickets so they can experience the atmosphere of a home game once again!
