An author who first appeared on Cwmbran Life in 2015 has published her latest book. Mary Jones writes under the name MJ Jones.
She writes novels as part of two series- The Maze Investigations and the Curiosity Club- and has now started a third- The Cardiff Newshound.
The Maze Investigations feature a team of genealogy investigators whose base is in Cwmbran. They look into “complex and sometimes bizarre cases” to “help clients to unearth answers to mysteries that have remained unsolvable for generations”.
Mary grew up in Cwmbran and now lives in North Wales. She said: “I can’t stop myself really. It’s just what I’ve always loved doing, telling stories, the freedom to express yourself. I’m very interested in history, not the big historical events, but how the events have an impact on everyday people. Once I get into these things, I’m absolutely fascinated by them.”
Books in the Maze series include ‘The Reluctant Chartist’ and ‘The Policeman’. The first book in The Cardiff Newshound is called ‘The Cromwell Sanction’.
