A Torfaen councillor was shocked to count 78 dog poos along a footpath near a Cwmbran primary school. The incline in Coed Eva has bins for people who use the area to exercise their pet.
Coed Eva ward councillor Cllr Fiona Cross, the executive member for the environment, said: “A kindly resident contacted me in the last few days to tell me how bad dog fouling had become on the incline in Coed Eva near Nant Celyn Primary School. She described it as a ‘toilet’ and she was not exaggerating.
“Today I sprayed a total of 78 poos including those in plastic bags. This is with a bin at the top and the bottom of this short pathway.”
Cllr Cross had a clear message for dog walkers: “Please dispose of your waste in the bins provided.”
