The third domestic abuse centre in Torfaen opened in Fairwater Shops in Cwmbran during July. Helen Swain, director of Torfaen Women's Aid recorded this audioboo where she talks about the centres and the support they offer. The service helped 917 women in Torfaen from April 2011 to March 2012. This included around 200 requests for emergency refuge accommodation.

The Pontypool Chrysalis Centre, 3 Town Bridge Buildings, is open Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm (5pm to 8pm on Thursday.

The Cwmbran Chrysalis Centre is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9.30am to 12.30pm.

The Blaenavon Chrysalis Centre, Broad Street, is open Tuesday and Friday from 9.30am to 12.30pm.
