A cash-strapped student from Cwmbran is seeking support from donors to develop his upcoming book, “How to Choose a University”.
Louis Thomas, a former pupil at Croesyceiliog School, is in the third year of his law degree at the University of Bristol. He’s using Hubbub, an educational crowdfunding platform exclusively for students, to try and raise his target amount of £500 to fund his campaign.
On his Hubbub page, he says that the money would go towards professional digital formatting and proofreading services, along with an online marketing campaign to bring publicity to the book.
His book, “How to Choose a University”, offers advice to students in sixth forms and colleges about how to choose a university to attend.
Louis said: “I really want to help those students who will be in the same shoes that I was once in. I want them to have access to a simple and straightforward guide to assist them in choosing a university.”
He’s offering a series of rewards in exchange for the donations that he receives. These include a free digital copy upon the eBook’s release, and an inclusion into the “dedicated to” page of the book.
